A Citation programme & a code of ethics for Interactors were introduced this year.

Interaction
This sports festival was organized during the Rotary Youth Activities month under the theme “Youth of ONE Nation”. This festival brought over 2000 Interactors from all parts of the country. Preliminaries were conducted in 9 zones while the finals were held on the 2nd & 3rd of October at Police Park Grounds.
The Chief Guest at the opening ceremony was the Minister for Media, Tourism, Aviation Hon. Dharmasiri Senanayake & the Minister for Sports, Rehabilitation, Rural development Hon. S.B. Dissanayake. The Rotary Governor Rtn. Phf. Melville Assauw was the Guest of Honour.

Youth Exchange
For the 1st time in Sri Lanka a two way Youth Exchange programme was initiated between Sri Lanka & India. 48 Interactors of Sri Lanka & 20 Annetts (Children of Rotarians) visited the Districts 3200: South India, 3230: North India, 3010:Delhi, 311: Agra, 3050:Rajastan & 3040: Bhopal.

Teen News
The above was the title given to the Interact District News Letter, which was published once in 2 months. This was a very strong voice for the Interactors as it gave them the opportunity to express their views.

Interact District Mailing Directory
This was compiled for the benefit of the Interact Club presidents & Rotarians. This was made possible by the single handed effort made by the Interact Chairman Rtn. PHF. Ananda Rajapakse.

DIR Training Institute for Asia Zone II
A training programme for the incoming DIR’s were held in Sri Lanka for the 1st time at the Holiday Resort in Kotmale from the 26th to the 28th of May ‘94. The director of the institute was PDG. Rtn. Phf. Gamini Edirisinghe.

Publicity for Interact Programmes
The publicity gained towards the Interact programmes hit an all time high. There were more than 60 newspaper articles, TV advertisements & documentaries & Radio commercials broadcasted.
