• Interact Board Training Seminar
  A digital orientation aimed at empowering newly appointed club leaders — Presidents, Secretaries, and Executives — with the tools and clarity needed to lead with confidence and efficiency.

• Project: Stop The Spread

• A district-wide health initiative combating COVID-19 through:

  • Phase 1: A social media campaign to inspire behavior change

  • Phase 2: Educational efforts focused on WHO-MOH safety protocols

  • Phase 3: Certification of safe environments, highlighting commitment to responsible Interact leadershi
     

• Interact Week Celebration (IWC) – 2nd to 8th November
  A nationwide tribute to Interact’s legacy, featuring six diverse projects that reflected empathy, inclusion, innovation, and youth empowerment:

  • Project Empath: Exploring emotional intelligence and kindness in leadership

  • Circle a Blue: Promoting mental health and suicide prevention awareness

  • Hear Us Out: Giving youth a voice on social and civic issues

  • Revamp: Encouraging personal and institutional transformation

  • Avising 20’: Fostering unity and future-facing perspectives

  • Mathurpakaya: Uplifting communities through cultural appreciation and grassroots service
     

• District Diwali Celebration
  A virtual celebration organized by Royal Institute Colombo, embracing light, harmony, and multicultural appreciation across Interact clubs.

• District Christmas Celebration
  Hosted by Wycherley International School with 150 participants, this virtual event brought together clubs in festive fellowship and reflection

​

• GreenCon – 17th March at Cinnamon Grand
  A flagship environmental summit raising awareness on deforestation, poaching, and climate change. Encouraged youth action toward reforestation and green living practices, led by Wycherley International and Colombo North.

• Interact District Conference
  Live-streamed and a physical gathering of 200 Interactors from 52 clubs. Celebrated leadership achievements and elected Int. PP. Murthaz Bharry as DIR for 2021/2022, reinforcing the power of youth-led service.
   

• Project Intercede
  An outreach effort focused on sustainable development through education, involving 20 clubs in material support and learning opportunities for underserved communities.
   

• Interaction 2021
  A multi-day event uniting clubs from Colombo and Hill Country in fun and fellowship:

  • Colombo: From cycling parks to sports complexes, the energy of Day 1 and Day 2 resonated with youth athleticism

  • Hill Country: Indoor and outdoor games at Gator Grounds and KMC Stadium encouraged unity and friendly competition

  • Awards Night: Celebrated participants, committees, and clubs that contributed wholeheartedly
     

• District Avurudu Celebrations – 11 April at Thurstan Grounds
  A vibrant event honoring Sinhala and Tamil New Year traditions, fostering cultural pride and inter-school collaboration.
   

• Interact Leadership Training (ILT) – 7 Jan to 23 May

• Under the theme “Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow,” 105 Interactors underwent intensive leadership development through interviews, workshops, and service—building the district’s future changemakers.
   

• District Vesak Celebrations

  • Phase 1: A Zoom-based spiritual and cultural session with 240 participants

  • Phase 2: A hands-on community gesture at Uduwara Sri Sayilalatha Maha Viharaya—painting the pagoda and installing lamps, fostering religious harmony
     

• Food Fest 2021
  A virtual celebration of food and cultural diversity under the avenue of International Understanding—promoting unity through flavors and traditions.
   

• Live Light 2021 – 17 July at Ultimate Studios, Piliyandala
  A virtual talent extravaganza providing young Interactors with a vibrant stage to showcase their creativity and passion in music, dance, and performance. Auditions spanned Colombo, Kandy, and Kurunegala.
   

• Interact District Assembly – Cinnamon Lakeside Marquee
  An iconic gathering marking the close of one legacy and the beginning of another. Reflected achievements, welcomed new leaders, and celebrated the spirit of service
